SSC CHSL Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2018 The Staff Selection Commission had recently released a notification to conduct the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination. The SSC CHSL Examination is held in three simple steps. The online written examination consists of subjects namely General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude & English Comprehension. The total questions in the online examination are 100 and are given differentially weight for 2 marks each question. The aspirant will have to complete the paper within 75 minutes of the starting of the paper. The questions paper is of an Objective type containing Multiple Choice Questions. The candidates should also notice that the mode of examination will be online. SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern
In this paper candidates need to write an essay, letter/ application to test the writing skills of the candidates.
The question pattern of letter/ application will be from Complaint, Official Appreciation, and Suggestion etc. Candidates need to write an essay of 200-250 words and letter Application about 150-200 words. The question is based on the 10th level

General Awareness
- Questions are designed to test the candidate’s general awareness related to the environment around him and its application to society.
- Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person.
- The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy, and scientific research.
- For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability and opting for SCRIBES there will be no component of Maps/ Graphs/ Diagrams/ Statistical Data in the General Intelligence & Reasoning/ Quantitative Aptitude.
SSC CHSL Syllabus Tier II
As mentioned in the above table the syllabus of tier II is consists of an essay and letter/ application which test their writing skills. The minimum qualifying marks for Tier II is 33%. The essay topics will be related to

SSC CHSL Tier III Syllabus
Tier III of SSC CHSL will be a skill/ Typing test. The final merit list of the selected candidates is based on the total marks obtained by the candidates in Tier-I and Tier- II.
Skill Test For Data Entry Operator
- The minimum Data Entry Speed of the candidate is 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer.
- The ‘Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on Computer’ will be adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/key depressions according to the given passage.
- Duration of the test will be 15 (Fifteen) minutes and the typing must be in English.
