What is the RPF SI exam?

RPF SI is an exam which is conducted to recruit eligible male and female candidates for Sub-inspectors in level 6 for Railway Protection Force. 

The selection process is based on: 

• Computer Based Test,
• Physical Efficiency Test,
• Physical Measurement Test and
• Document Verification.

The question paper consist of:

1. 35 questions on General Intelligence & Reasoning,
2. 35 questions on Arithmetic and
3. 50 questions on General Awareness.

There will be 120 questions/ marks. The time duration will 90 minutes. There will also negative marking of 1/3 marks.

Candidate must obtain at least 35 % marks (30 % in case of SC/ST candidates) in the written exam for being considered for another test.

For General category male contenders 165 cm height and 80- 85 cms chest is necessary. F

or General category female 157 cms height is required.

For SC/ ST male contenders 160 cm height and 76.2-81.20 cms chest are necessary.

For reserved category female, 152 cm height is necessary.

Male contenders have to complete 1600 meter race 06 min 30 secs and female have to complete 800-meter race in 04 mins. Male candidates have to do 03 feet 09 Inch high jump and 12 feet long jump in two chances. For female, there will 03 feet high jump and 09 feet long jump.
