IBPS PO
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts the exam every year to recruit the contenders for Probationary Officer (PO) posts. The contenders who have done graduation can apply for IBPS PO vacancy.
The selection process is based on
- Prelims Exam,
- Mains Exam and
- Interview.
The Prelims Exam consists of three sections
- English Language (30 Questions),
- Numerical Ability (35 Questions) and
- Reasoning Ability (35 Questions).
Total of 100 questions and a maximum score of 100 marks. The time duration for each section is 20 minutes.
IBPS PO Mains exam consists of five sections
- Reasoning & Computer Aptitude (45 questions and 60 marks),
- English Language (35 questions and 40 marks),
- Data Analysis & Interpretation (35 questions and 60 marks),
- General Economy & Banking Awareness (40 questions and 40 marks) and
- English Language Letter Writing &Essay Writing (2 questions and 25 marks).
The time duration for each section is separate. The total time duration for the mains exam is 03 hours and 30 minutes. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
The contenders who qualify the mains exam will call for Personal Interview which carries a maximum of 100 marks. The Interview round is 15-20 minutes long. The qualifying marks for General category candidates is 40% and for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates 35%.
