SSC Constable GD Exam

SSC Constable GD Exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission. SSC officials conduct SSC GD Constable Exam every year to recruit the candidates for the post of Constable (General Duty) in various CAPF divisions such as BSF, CRPF, CISF, SSB, ITBP, AR, NIA and SSF. 10th pass students can attend the SSC Constable GD Exam.

The selection process of SSC Constable General Duty post is based on

  1. Written Test,
  2. Physical Efficiency Test and
  3. Medical Test.

There are four sections in the Written Test related to

  1. General Intelligence & Reasoning(25 questions of 25 marks) 
  2. General Knowledge and Awareness(25 questions of 25 marks)
  3. Elementary Mathematics(25 questions of 25 marks)
  4. English/ Hindi subjects(25 questions of 25 marks)

Question paper contains a total of 100 numbers of questions and total marks are 100. Exam duration is 90 minutes.

In Physical Efficiency Test Race for a male candidate is of 5 km and duration is 24 minutes. For female candidates Race of 1.6 km and time duration is 8 minutes.

For Male candidates 170 cms and for female candidates, 157 cms height is required.

In Medical Test Near Vision for Better Eye N6 and for Worse Eye N9 is required. And Distance Vision for Better Eye 6/6 and for Worse Eye 6/9 is necessary.

Constable GD cut off different for different states and category of candidates.

Ans. Total 54953 vacancies has been released by the Staff Selection Committee (SSC) for the post of general duty (GD).

Ans. For the various post, the examination of SSC GD will be conducted from Jan 13, 2019- March 16, 2019. While the examination for Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) Assam Rifles will be conducted from 11 Feb 2019- March 3, 2019.
