KVS PRT

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan conducts the exam to recruit the candidates for Primary Teachers (PRT). The contenders who have completed their D.Ed. /B.Ed. /B.El.Ed. /J.B.T. /E.T.T. /B.T.C. /D.T.C. with at least 50% marks can attend this exam.

The final merit list of PRT will be based on the performance of candidates in written test and interview. The weightage of written test and interview will 85:15. And for the post of the primary teacher (music) the weightage of written test, performance test and interview will be 60:25:15.

There will two parts in written test

1. Part I:- In Part I there will 10 questions on General English and 10 questions on General Hindi.
2. Part II:- In Part II there will 10 questions on General Knowledge & Current Affairs, 10 questions on Reasoning Ability, 10 questions on Computer Literacy, 20 questions on Pedagogy and 80 questions on concerned subjects. The question paper will be made of 150 questions and each question carry 01 marks. The total time duration is 02 hours and 30 minutes. The previous year cut off for General category was 100 to 110, OBC category 90 to 100 marks, SC 80 to 90 marks and ST category 70 to 80 marks.
