In the meantime, to make the University functional, National Sports University Society has been registered under the Manipur Science Registration Act 1989, to function as an Academic institution under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Deputy Registrar under the National Sports University Society are to be engaged for a period of 6 months purely on temporary/ contract basis.
