Granthi Only for Sikh Male Candidates.
Bachelor Degree in Arts with Punjabi as Main Subject Or
Vidwan in Punjabi
Padre Only For Christian Male Candidates.
Who have been ordained priesthood by the Appropriate ecclesiastical authority and is still on the Approved list of local Bishop.
Maulvi Only for Muslim Male Candidates.
Maulvi Alim in Arabic, Adib Alim in Urdu Or
Bachelor Degree in Arts with Urdu / Arabic as one of the Subject.
Pandit (Gorkha) Only for Hindu (Gorkha) Male Candiates.
Bachelor Degree in Arts with Sanskrit / Hindi as one of the Subject Or
Madhyam in Sanskrit or Bhusan in Hindi.
Maulvi (Shia) Only for Muslim Shia Laddakh  Male Candidates.
Maulvi Alim in Arabic, Adib Alim in Urdu Or
Bachelor Degree in Arts with Urdu / Arabic as one of the Subject.
Bodh Monk Only for Buddhist Male Candidates.
Who Have been ordained Monk / Buddhist Priest by the Appropriate Authority. The term Appropriate Authority will mean Head Priest of the Monastery where the Person has been initiated into priesthood. The Head  Priest should be in Possession of Geshe (PHd) of Khanpa of Lopon or Rabjam with Proper Certificate from Monastery.
Minimum Age Limit: 25 Years
Maximum Age Limit: 34 Years

Join Indian Army has released recruitment notifications for the vacancy of Religious Teacher. The interested contenders can check their eligibility and apply online for Army Religious Teacher Recruitment 2019 here. The online application process will start from 30 September 2019 and candidates can apply online till 29 October 2019. A total of 152 vacancies released for the post of Pandit, Granthi, Padre, Maulvi, Gorkha Pandit, Shia Maulvi and Bodh Monk. The written examination will conduct on 23 February 2020. The selection process will be done on the basis of Screening Test, Written Examination and Interview.
